Places to Eat and Drink

About Us

From traditional village pubs to trendy bars, Rutland has a great choice of places to enjoy a pint of real ale or a glass of vintage wine.

Add to that mix, fine dining and a wide variety of cuisine, and you have somewhere to eat or drink for anybody who visits Rutland.

Being a rural county, nightlife is limited in Rutland with one small nightclub in Oakham and a handful of bars.

Everything else is very much your 'traditional rural county' with plenty of delightful village pubs, equally popular with locals and visitors alike.

During peak periods, such as the Birdwatching Fair or the nearby Burghley Horse Trials, many restaurants can book up quickly and it's best to make a reservation. However, usually a quick call earlier in the day will get you a table.
